Set of Outdoor Natural Materials

This set of natural materials is robust enough to use outdoors, which tend to be larger than the materials we use for our indoor set.  We also place them in plastic pond baskets which allow air to circulate all the way around the basket to keep the materials as dry as possible. We will include different sizes, colours and textures and 2 coconut mats to help scaffold pattern making or arrays.

I love natural materials and so do children.  You can use them in counting, calculating, pattern-making, data collection, or why not use them to create a fruit and vegetable shop?  Completely open-ended, this resource will become a very important staple for provision.
