With its very distinctive tusks and beautiful calf, this walrus is one of our newest figures, a great addition to our collection.

Fun Facts:

Walrus aren’t called the Giants or Kings of the Arctic for no reason! Adult walrus are typically about 7.25 to 11.5 feet in size and can weigh up to 1.5 tons (3,000 lbs or 1,360 kg). The weight of a small car!

Rachel’s Notes:

Walrus live in huge colonies in shallow water. Their main predators are Orca and Polar bears, which gives you an interesting teaching point, as our Pole-to-Pole set offers all of them, including the Inuit, who would also regard the walrus as a food source.
